Cadillac’s Alex Lynn Triumphs with Pole Position at 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours Qualifying!

In a heart-stopping turn of events, Cadillac driver Alex Lynn secures the pole position for the upcoming Le Mans 24 Hours, a redemption story after narrowly missing out on the top spot last year. Lynn, part of the Jota Caddy team, reflected on the intense moment when victory slipped through his fingers as Porsche driver Kevin Estre snatched the pole position away by a margin of just over a tenth of a second. Lynn expressed his elation, stating, “Pole at Le Mans is special no matter [what], but I have to say personally I’ve waited 12 months to do this again.”

Last year, Lynn was just one tenth away from clinching pole position, a memory that fueled his determination for this year’s qualifying round. The British driver, the first Briton since Johnny Herbert in 2004 to claim outright pole at Le Mans, described the intense wait as his competitors completed their laps during the qualifying session. Lynn’s teammate, Earl Bamber, also put on a stellar performance, finishing just over a tenth behind Lynn to secure a remarkable Caddy 1-2 at the front of the grid.

During his pole lap, Lynn faced challenges at Indianapolis Corner, forcing him to make quick adjustments to his car’s settings on the fly. Despite the hurdles, Lynn clocked in a remarkable time of 3m23.166s, outpacing Bamber and Jaminet. Jota co-owner David Clark hailed the team’s exceptional performance, calling the 1-2 qualifying result a “dream” and commending the collective effort of the entire team.

As the anticipation builds for the Le Mans 24 Hours, all eyes are on Alex Lynn and the Cadillac team as they gear up to dominate the legendary endurance race. With Lynn’s pole position and the team’s impressive showing in qualifying, enthusiasts can expect an adrenaline-fueled showdown on the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe. Stay tuned for the ultimate test of speed, skill, and endurance at the world-renowned Le Mans 24 Hours!
