Nissan Motor has produced a short series of three videos featuring members of the planning, design, and engineering teams responsible for creating the brand new Nissan Leaf, thus giving a voice to those behind the creation of the third generation of the iconic 100% electric model.
The third generation of the Nissan Leaf was developed based on the lessons learned since the launch of the pioneering model in 2010. Over 15 years, Nissan has sold nearly 700,000 units of the Leaf worldwide, with estimates suggesting that its drivers have traveled a total of about 28 billion kilometers.
The lessons learned from the first two generations served as inspiration and guidance for the planning and engineering teams in the design of the new Leaf, which has been completely rethought.
In the last of the three videos, the Japanese brand showcases a set of technologies from the new Leaf that not only assist in daily driving but also facilitate the use of an electric vehicle and enhance the lifestyle of the owners.
Among the new technology used by the Leaf is the smart route planner, synchronized with Google Automotive Services, which allows for electric charging points along a route. Additionally, the new Leaf promises to add 250 km of range in 14 minutes when connected to a fast charger.
The Nissan Leaf is considered one of Nissan’s most iconic models, a true “emotional icon,” and thanks to its innovative technologies, it continues to reinforce the Nissan brand image. Remember that the third generation of the Leaf will be unveiled on June 17th.
