Carlos Sainz stuns Madrid streets with thrilling F1 showcase before 2026 Spanish GP

Formula 1 Fans Stunned by Carlos Sainz’s Dazzling Performance on New Track

Spanish racing sensation Carlos Sainz has left fans in awe after showcasing his skills on a brand new F1 track set to debut in 2026. The Williams F1 star took to the streets of Madrid, his hometown, to kick off the excitement surrounding the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix.

In a thrilling display ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend, the FIA and F1 revealed the calendar for the next season, confirming the addition of the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid on September 13, 2026. Sainz, a four-time Grand Prix winner, delighted over 80,000 spectators as he maneuvered the FW45 through the streets of the vibrant Spanish capital, treating the crowd to impressive donuts and showcasing his exceptional driving prowess.

Expressing his exhilaration, Sainz shared, “It’s a dream come true for me to drive around the streets of Madrid with my F1 car in front of a crowd of more than 80,000 people. This is just the beginning of what promises to be an extraordinary event next year.”

The upcoming 2026 F1 season will bring not only new regulations but also a thrilling race at the newly constructed ‘Madring’ track in Madrid for the Spanish Grand Prix. While the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will continue to host races, its future in the F1 calendar remains uncertain, with the contract set to expire in 2026.

F1’s CEO, Stefano Domenicali, hinted at the ongoing discussions about the Barcelona track’s future, stating, “There are discussions in place to see if we can really extend our collaboration with Barcelona for the future.” Although details about the extension have not been disclosed publicly, Madrid is poised to be a fixture in the F1 calendar until at least 2035, promising an exhilarating and action-packed race for fans worldwide.
