Xiaomi SU7 Ultra estabelece novo recorde de volta mais rápida para um veículo elétrico de produção

Xiaomi continues its fight to achieve records for the fastest laps on some of the most well-known circuits worldwide, and after in 2024, managing to complete a lap of the Nürburgring, with a prototype of the SU7 Ultra in 6m and 46.8 seconds, it has now returned to the famous “Green Hell” to repeat the feat with a production version of the sports car.

As expected, the SU7 Ultra, available in China, could not match the performance of the prototype; however, it managed to complete a lap in 7 minutes and 4.95 seconds, making Xiaomi’s 100% electric model faster than the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, which completed a lap of the German circuit in 7m55 seconds.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was even faster than the Rimac Nevera, effectively dethroning the Croatian electric hypercar from the production electric vehicle rankings, as the Nevera completed a lap in 7m5.29 seconds.

Despite the excellent time recorded by the SU7 Ultra, the record for the fastest lap at Nürburgring for a production vehicle still belongs to the Mercedes-AMG One.

The sports car from the German brand completed a lap around the “Green Hell” in 6m29 seconds in 2024. The absolute record, however, belongs to the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo, exclusive to tracks, with an impressive lap time of 5m19.55 seconds.

The images revealed by Xiaomi show that the SU7 Ultra reaches a GPS-verified speed of 346 km/h, making the Chinese model fully electric the fastest production sedan of all time, a title that until now belonged to the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima, with a top speed of 334 km/h.

It should be noted that the production Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with a Qilin 2.0 battery from CATL with a capacity of 93.7 kWh that powers three electric motors, two HyperEngine V8 motors, and one V6 motor, providing a combined power of 1547 hp, and allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 350 km/h.
