Formula 1 Stars Set to Dominate the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours Hypercar Grid

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is set to witness a stellar lineup of former Formula 1 drivers showcasing their skills on the iconic French circuit in 2025. From Le Mans winners to F1 champions, these racing legends have seamlessly transitioned from single-seaters to endurance racing, proving their versatility and talent on the track.

Antonio Giovinazzi, the 2023 Le Mans champion, is gearing up to defend his title this year with Ferrari. After a successful F1 career with Alfa Romeo, Giovinazzi made a triumphant return to endurance racing, clinching victory at Le Mans in 2023.

Joining Giovinazzi is Robert Kubica, a prominent figure in Formula 1 who has now shifted his focus to endurance racing with AF Corse. The Polish driver, known for his remarkable victory at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix, has seamlessly transitioned to the Hypercar category.

Kamui Kobayashi, a former F1 driver turned endurance racing champion, continues to shine with Toyota Gazoo Racing. With multiple WEC championships and a Le Mans victory under his belt, Kobayashi is a force to be reckoned with on the track.

Nyck de Vries, the reigning Formula E world champion, is making waves in both Formula E and endurance racing. With a strong performance at Le Mans last year, de Vries is set to deliver another thrilling race alongside Kobayashi.

Sebastien Buemi, a seasoned driver in both Formula E and endurance racing, is back at Le Mans with Toyota Gazoo Racing. Buemi’s impressive track record includes multiple WEC championships and Le Mans victories, solidifying his status as a motorsport icon.

Brendon Hartley, another ex-F1 driver, is ready to take on the challenge of Le Mans with Toyota. After securing victory at Le Mans in 2020 and 2023, Hartley is determined to add another win to his impressive racing resume.

Kevin Magnussen, who recently bid farewell to F1, is making his Le Mans debut in the Hypercar category with BMW M Motorsport. The Danish driver’s talent and experience are sure to make him a strong contender at the legendary endurance race.

Jenson Button, the 2009 F1 world champion, is gearing up for another shot at Le Mans glory with Cadillac. Known for his remarkable F1 career, Button’s foray into endurance racing has been met with success, and he is poised for another stellar performance at Le Mans.

These former F1 stars turned endurance racing icons are set to captivate audiences at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours, showcasing their speed, skill, and determination on one of the world’s most challenging circuits.
