Liam Lawson urged to seize glory and reign supreme in Racing Bulls comeback

Racing Bulls Star Liam Lawson Under Pressure to Deliver After Disappointing Races

Struggling Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson is feeling the heat as the team’s CEO, Peter Bayer, urges him to “pull it together” following a challenging return to the team. Lawson, who had high hopes after moving up to Red Bull Racing only to be demoted after just two races, has been struggling to make an impact this season.

Despite a strong performance in the Monaco Grand Prix where Lawson finished eighth, he has only managed to score points in one out of seven races since his return to Racing Bulls. In contrast, his teammate Isack Hadjar has been consistently claiming points, putting even more pressure on the young New Zealander to up his game.

Lawson himself acknowledged the need for perfect execution in all areas to achieve better results, especially in qualifying. Bayer echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of Lawson improving his qualifying performance to match Hadjar’s consistency in reaching Q3.

With Bayer expressing confidence in Lawson’s potential, stating, “In terms of pace, he’s right there,” it is clear that the team believes in Lawson’s abilities but is expecting more from him on the track. The pressure is on for Lawson to deliver and start scoring points consistently for Racing Bulls.

The team has been on an upward trajectory in recent races, with improvements made to the car, including a new front wing that adheres to the new technical regulations. Despite Lawson’s struggles, Bayer is pleased with the overall performance of the team and their progress throughout the challenging triple-header of races at Imola, Monaco, and Spain.

As Racing Bulls continue to push forward, Lawson will need to step up his game and prove that he has what it takes to compete at the highest level of motorsport. With the support of the team behind him, Lawson has the opportunity to turn his season around and show his true potential on the track.
