Alpine Vows Support for Banned Driver Nicola Lacorte After String of Incidents

Alpine Racing’s Shocking Driver Ban Sends Waves Through the Racing World

Alpine Racing has found itself in the midst of a controversy as junior driver Nicola Lacorte faces a race ban due to a series of alarming incidents. The young Italian has been sidelined from the upcoming F3 round in Austria after accumulating a staggering 18 penalty points during events in Monaco and Spain.

Lacorte, driving for DAMS, initially received seven penalty points in Monaco for causing a collision and disregarding a black flag. His troubles continued in Spain, where he was involved in two more collisions and was twice penalized for speeding behind the safety car. As a result, DAMS is now on the hunt for a replacement driver for the races at the Red Bull Ring later this month.

Alpine Racing is not taking this situation lightly and has pledged its full support to Lacorte in a bid to prevent future incidents. In a statement to RacingNews365, Alpine expressed its commitment to promoting competitive and safe racing while acknowledging the importance of upholding regulations for the safety of all competitors.

“We are working with Nicola and his team to analyze the specific incidents that led to the penalty points and to implement measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future,” Alpine stated. The team is dedicated to providing the necessary support and expertise to aid in the development of the 18-year-old driver as part of the young Academy program.

The racing community is abuzz with discussions surrounding this ban, with many questioning the future of Lacorte’s career and the implications for Alpine Racing. Stay tuned as this story continues to unfold.
