In a heart-stopping turn of events at the F1 Spanish Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen engaged in a high-stakes battle that left fans on the edge of their seats. The FIA race stewards have made a controversial decision by taking no further action against Leclerc for a dramatic incident involving Verstappen, allowing the Ferrari driver to keep his hard-fought podium position.

On lap 61, chaos ensued as Verstappen struggled to regain momentum after a safety car restart, giving Leclerc the opportunity to seize the moment and attempt an overtake. However, what followed was a nail-biting moment as the two drivers made contact, sparking debate and tension among fans and experts alike.

Verstappen accused Leclerc of making a questionable move by edging towards his car during the intense battle for position. Despite Verstappen’s protests, the stewards analyzed a plethora of data and footage before concluding that both drivers had contributed to the incident by moving towards each other, deeming it a racing incident with no one driver solely at fault.

The aftermath saw Verstappen receiving a 10-second penalty for a separate collision with George Russell, pushing him down to a 10th place finish. Meanwhile, Leclerc managed to secure a podium finish, coming in third behind the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Verstappen’s penalty also came with three penalty points on his license, bringing him dangerously close to a potential race ban leading up to the Austrian Grand Prix in June.

The Spanish Grand Prix has once again proven to be a battleground for fierce competition and controversy, keeping fans and critics alike on the edge of their seats as the drama unfolded on the track.
