In a thrilling conclusion to the Free Practice 3 session at the 2025 F1 Spanish Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri outpaced his McLaren teammate Lando Norris by a stunning half a second, dominating the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with a blistering lap time of 1:12.387. The Australian driver showcased his skills, leaving Charles Leclerc trailing in third place.

Surprisingly, it was George Russell and Max Verstappen who completed the top five, injecting an unexpected twist into the practice session. The Mercedes duo, led by Russell, initially reigned supreme on the timing board before being overtaken in the final moments of the session.

Although the practice session was relatively uneventful, with minimal on-track action, Norris provided a heart-stopping moment when he bottomed out entering Turn 9, forcing him to take an unplanned detour onto the exit road.

As the teams gear up for a crucial qualifying session, the stage is set for a fiercely competitive Spanish Grand Prix. History suggests that starting from the front row is imperative for success at this circuit, with only three out of 34 races being won from a starting position lower than second place.

Excitement is mounting as fans eagerly await the unfolding drama of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend. Stay tuned for more updates as the drivers push the limits of speed and skill in their quest for victory.
