Fresh Controversy Surrounds Lewis Hamilton as Ferrari Uncovers “Problem”

In a startling turn of events at the Barcelona circuit, Lewis Hamilton’s hopes for a successful Spanish Grand Prix weekend have been thrown into disarray. The seven-time World Champion found himself struggling with a mysterious issue in his SF-25 Ferrari, causing a significant loss of downforce and leaving him off the pace during Friday practice sessions.

Hamilton, who had been showing signs of improvement with back-to-back top-five finishes in previous races, expressed his frustration over the newfound setback. The British driver was nearly eight-tenths slower than the pace-setter in FP2 and lagged behind his teammate Charles Leclerc by 0.273s, painting a grim picture for his performance.

Voicing his concerns to his race engineer Ricciardo Adami, Hamilton bemoaned, “That car is not drivable, mate,” highlighting the severity of the issue plaguing his vehicle. Despite his struggles, Hamilton remained hopeful that once the problem was rectified, he would be in a better position to compete at the forefront of the pack.

While Hamilton refrained from disclosing specific details about the technical issue, he acknowledged the need for a swift resolution to salvage his chances for the remainder of the Grand Prix weekend. The Ferrari team principal, Fred Vasseur, downplayed Hamilton’s complaints, suggesting that the car’s performance might not have been as dire as portrayed over the radio.

As Hamilton gears up to tackle the Spanish Grand Prix from P6 in the Drivers’ standings, trailing behind championship leader Piastri by 98 points, the pressure is mounting for the seasoned driver to deliver a standout performance. With Ferrari currently sitting in fourth place in the teams’ standings, the stakes are high for Hamilton to overcome this latest setback and showcase his renowned driving prowess on race day.
