Fernando Alonso Vows to Preserve Barcelona’s Place in F1 Amidst New Competition
In a bold statement, Formula 1 icon Fernando Alonso has declared his commitment to ensuring that the Barcelona circuit remains an integral part of the F1 calendar despite the emergence of Madrid as a new venue in the racing schedule.
During a recent press conference, Alonso, who has been appointed as the new Barcelona F1 ambassador, expressed his firm belief that the historic circuit should continue hosting races beyond 2026. “I don’t think that we will lose Barcelona. So that’s my opinion and my wish as well,” he declared.

It’s good to have new countries as well that Formula 1 has moved to in the last decade.
