Alfa Romeo may postpone the launch of the new Stelvio.

Alfa Romeo assinala aniversários do Giulietta Sprint e Alfetta GT com novos logótipos

Alfa Romeo may delay the launch of the new version of the Stelvio SUV while reassessing its strategies in light of the global decline in demand for electric vehicles.

The possibility of delaying the launch of the new Stelvio, which is expected to feature a bolder and more distinctive aesthetic, was reported to “Reuters” by sources close to the process.

According to the same sources, the new Stelvio, which is expected to be produced in Cassino, central Italy, will not begin deliveries before September or October 2026, thus contradicting initial forecasts that indicated the model would be presented this year, and that its market arrival would take place in the first quarter of 2026.

It is worth noting that the Stelvio was one of the models, along with the Giulia, that contributed to Alfa Romeo’s recovery, particularly through the Quadrifoglio version with a 520 hp engine.

News of the delay in launching the new version of the Stelvio comes at a time when the new CEO of Stellantis, Antonio Filosa, has been announced, and after Jean-Philippe Imparato, director of operations for extended Europe at Stellantis, announced in early May that the company was working on an update of its strategic plan.
