In a shocking turn of events in the F1 world, Jos Verstappen has made explosive claims about certain teams benefiting from the delayed implementation of TD018. The highly-anticipated technical directive regarding front wing flexibility is set to shake up the competition starting from the Spanish Grand Prix.

The decision to postpone the enforcement of TD018 until the ninth round of the championship has sparked controversy and raised questions about the fairness of the competition. Jos Verstappen, father of contender Max Verstappen, expressed his concerns about the delayed tests potentially favoring some teams over others.

While the FIA introduced stricter front wing static load tests to address the issue of flexibility, the timing of the implementation has left many in the F1 community divided. Speculation runs rampant as to which teams will be most impacted by the new directive, with rivals pointing fingers and fans eagerly anticipating a more level playing field.

Despite McLaren’s dominance in the current season, winning six Grands Prix compared to Red Bull’s two, Jos Verstappen insists on fairness and equal opportunities for all teams. He believes that certain teams have unjustly benefited from the flexible front wings and that the delayed ban in Spain is a disadvantage to his son and his team.

While McLaren downplays the impact of TD018 on their championship lead, Red Bull’s team principal Christian Horner acknowledges that the directive will have some effect on the competition. With the title race heating up, Horner remains optimistic about Max Verstappen’s chances of reclaiming the World title and closing the gap to championship leader Oscar Piastri.

As the battle for both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships intensifies, the F1 community eagerly awaits the unfolding drama on the track. With the stakes higher than ever, the delayed TD018 directive could be the game-changer that reshapes the course of the 2025 F1 season.
