Yuki Tsunoda Defies Father’s Critique: Battling Red Bull Turmoil with Unyielding Resolve

Red Bull’s Struggle Continues: Is Yuki Tsunoda “Not Good Enough”?

Red Bull Racing has been facing a continuous uphill battle to find the perfect teammate for their star driver, Max Verstappen. The latest contender, Yuki Tsunoda, seems to be falling short of expectations, with only seven points compared to Verstappen’s impressive 136 points in the F1 2025 season so far.

The team’s history of failed partnerships since Daniel Ricciardo’s departure in 2018 has left fans and pundits questioning Red Bull’s driver selection process. Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon, Sergio Perez, and Liam Lawson have all taken a shot at being Verstappen’s teammate, with limited success. Even Perez, who managed to secure a race win, couldn’t match Verstappen’s performance on a consistent basis.

Renowned F1 commentator David Croft has not held back in his criticism, stating that Red Bull made a mistake by not re-signing Carlos Sainz, a proven race winner with Ferrari. Croft believes that to compete for the Constructors’ Championship, Red Bull needs a driver who is “good enough” to support Verstappen on the track.

With Sainz out of the picture after signing a multi-year deal with Williams, the focus is now on potential future recruits. Croft suggests that George Russell, currently with Mercedes and set to become a free agent at the end of the season, could be the ideal candidate to partner Verstappen. Russell’s skill and competitive spirit could provide the challenge Red Bull needs to elevate their performance in the championship.

As Red Bull struggles in the Constructors’ Championship, currently sitting in third place behind McLaren, the pressure is on to make significant changes to their driver lineup. The debate rages on whether Yuki Tsunoda has what it takes to consistently deliver podium finishes and race wins at the highest level of motorsport.

The clock is ticking for Red Bull as they seek to secure a driver who can match Verstappen’s prowess on the track and propel the team to championship glory. Will they make a bold move for George Russell, or is there another surprise contender waiting in the wings to join the Red Bull Racing family? The F1 world waits with bated breath for the next chapter in this high-stakes saga.
