Get ready for a thrilling NASCAR Xfinity Series race as Daniel Suárez gears up to pilot the No. 9 JRM Chevrolet sponsored by Quaker State in Mexico City! The event, set to take place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez road course on June 14, marks a significant moment as the series returns to Mexico, with Suárez, a Monterrey native, leading the charge.

Suárez, the only Mexican driver to secure NASCAR Cup Series victories, expressed his excitement, stating, “Having the opportunity to compete in the Xfinity Series race makes the weekend in Mexico City even better.” His remarkable track record includes wins in Sonoma (2022) and Atlanta (2024), solidifying him as a force to be reckoned with on the racetrack.

The upcoming race holds sentimental value for Suárez, who shared, “Being born and raised in Mexico is incredibly special to me. I have dreamed about racing in my home country every day since I left Mexico to chase my NASCAR dream in 2011.” With Quaker State and JR Motorsports by his side, Suárez is determined to make a lasting impression at the event.

As a former NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion in 2016, Suárez will not only compete in the Xfinity Series race but will also participate in the NASCAR Cup Series event the following day, driving the No. 99 Telcel-Infinitum Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing. His return to the Xfinity Series in Mexico City marks a highly anticipated moment for fans eagerly awaiting his stellar performance.

With three Xfinity Series wins under his belt during his championship-winning season, Suárez is no stranger to victory. His expertise on the track was particularly evident during the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2016, where he dominated the race from start to finish.

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez road course, boasting 15 turns across 2.42 miles at an elevation of 7,342 feet, sets the stage for an exhilarating race. Having hosted eight Formula 1 races, the historic track holds a special place in the hearts of racing enthusiasts worldwide.

Ricardo Ibarra, CEO of CS Shell & Quaker State, emphasized the significance of NASCAR’s arrival in Mexico, stating, “The historic arrival of the NASCAR Cup Series in Mexico is a milestone for motorsports.” With a focus on cutting-edge technology and engine protection, Quaker State is proud to support Suárez in his racing endeavors.

Suárez will join a stellar lineup of JR Motorsports drivers at the Mexico City event, including Connor Zilisch, Justin Allgaier, Sammy Smith, and Carson Kvapil. The collective talent and determination of these drivers promise an unforgettable weekend filled with adrenaline-pumping races and fierce competition.

Don’t miss out on the action as Daniel Suárez revs up his engines to take on the competition in Mexico City, aiming to leave a lasting legacy in NASCAR history!
