Pierre Gasly’s Monaco Nightmare: Blaming Yuki Tsunoda for Early Exit!

Pierre Gasly, driving for Alpine A525, faced a disastrous weekend at the Monaco Grand Prix. Starting from 17th place, his race ended prematurely due to a collision, adding to his already poor qualifying performance. Gasly expressed frustration over the incident, attributing it to Yuki Tsunoda’s unexpected maneuver during braking. The Alpine team struggled throughout the race, with Gasly stopping on the first lap, depriving him of the opportunity to showcase his race strategy.

Gasly lamented, “It’s never good to finish a race so early. Obviously, a very frustrating result for the team in the end. The opportunities were very limited due to starting so far back on the grid. I didn’t expect Yuki [Tsunoda] to move so much during braking. He made a mistake before the tunnel, then began braking on the left side of the track and shifted to the right, leaving me with nowhere to go.”

Despite the disappointing outcome, Gasly highlighted the potential benefits of their early pit stop, which could have provided opportunities later in the race. Looking ahead to the next race in Spain, Gasly emphasized the need to enhance their performance level and move past the challenges faced in Monaco.

The Monaco Grand Prix proved to be a challenging event for many drivers, with most cars finishing where they started, barring retirements and penalties. Gasly’s incident with Tsunoda added a dramatic twist to his race, leaving fans and pundits eagerly anticipating his performance at the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix.
