In a jaw-dropping turn of events, Mercedes is gearing up to shake things up at the Monaco Grand Prix with some “crazy” pit stop strategies for their drivers, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. The team’s disappointing qualifying session left them starting at P14 and P15, sparking discussions about potential bold moves for race day.

Team principal Toto Wolff described the qualifying session as “abysmal” after encountering reliability issues and a crash, putting Mercedes in a less than ideal position on the grid. The FIA’s decision to mandate a two-stop race for Monaco has thrown a curveball at the teams, prompting speculation about unconventional strategies to gain an edge.

Wolff hinted at the possibility of going for an unconventional approach, stating they are considering options that are “a bit nuts” and could involve either a “very long or very short” pit stop strategy. The idea of trying something daring has intrigued both Wolff and driver Antonelli, with the Italian racer expressing the need to think differently given their starting positions.

Monaco, known for its glitz and glamour, may witness a thrilling race as teams explore uncharted territory with their strategies. The unpredictability injected into the race has left fans and experts eagerly anticipating how the teams will navigate the challenges and whether any daring moves will pay off on the iconic street circuit.

As Mercedes prepares to unleash their unconventional tactics, all eyes will be on the silver arrows to see if their bold approach will lead to a remarkable comeback in the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix. Stay tuned for a race day full of surprises and adrenaline-pumping action as the teams push the boundaries in pursuit of glory on the historic streets of Monte Carlo.
