F1 Drama Unfolds in Monaco Grand Prix Practice as Alonso Blasts Hamilton and Leclerc

Monaco Grand Prix practice saw intense drama unfold as Fernando Alonso expressed his fury towards Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc from Ferrari. The Aston Martin driver was left seething after encountering the Ferrari duo on the track, causing him to abandon his lap and unleash his anger over the team radio.

The session was rife with traffic issues, with Max Verstappen even deeming it “dangerous”. Leclerc himself was involved in a collision with Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate, resulting in a grid penalty for Stroll. However, it was the encounter between Hamilton, Leclerc, and Alonso that stole the spotlight.

During the practice session, Hamilton and Leclerc found themselves on track together, trying to make way for a fast-approaching Alonso. With limited space on the tight street circuit, Alonso was forced to lift off, leading to a wave of frustration from the Spaniard.

Alonso’s discontent was palpable as he headed back to the pit lane, expressing his exasperation over the situation. He criticized the actions of the Ferrari drivers, questioning why they had stopped on the track and highlighting the challenges of navigating traffic on the circuit.

In a post-session interview, Alonso emphasized the need for stricter penalties for impeding incidents during qualifying, urging the FIA stewards to take a harsher stance. He acknowledged the difficulties posed by the Monaco track but remained hopeful for a cleaner qualifying session.

Meanwhile, Leclerc shone during the practice sessions, topping the timesheets as he aims to secure another victory on home soil after his triumph in Monaco last season. The Ferrari driver’s performance sets the stage for an exciting and competitive race weekend ahead.

The Monaco Grand Prix continues to deliver thrills and controversies, with tensions running high among the drivers vying for supremacy on the iconic street circuit. Stay tuned for more updates as the drama unfolds in the world of Formula 1.
