In a stunning turn of events at the Monaco Grand Prix, Lance Stroll has been handed a grid penalty following a dramatic collision with Charles Leclerc during practice. The incident occurred early in the session when Stroll veered off his line, only to be struck by Leclerc, leading to chaos on the track.

The Monaco Grand Prix stewards wasted no time in assigning blame, pointing the finger squarely at Stroll for the collision. They deemed him “wholly to blame” for the crash, which resulted in damage to both cars and a brief deployment of the red flags.

As a result of the collision, Stroll not only received a one-place grid penalty but also incurred a penalty point on his super-licence, bringing his total to three within a year. Meanwhile, Leclerc managed to return to the track and set the fastest time of the session, showcasing his resilience in the face of adversity.

The aftermath of the collision left Stroll sidelined for the remainder of the practice session, with rear suspension damage necessitating a gearbox change. The Canadian driver ended the session in 20th place, a disappointing outcome following the dramatic turn of events.

As the Monaco Grand Prix unfolds, the fallout from this incident is sure to linger, adding an extra layer of tension and drama to an already intense race weekend. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as the race weekend progresses.
