Bernie Ecclestone fala sobre processo de Felipe Massa em relação à polêmica do campeonato de 2008.

Bernie Ecclestone confessed to being aware of the Crashgate scandal that occurred during the 2008 Formula 1 season. This particular season was marked by controversies, with Lewis Hamilton clinching the championship by just one point ahead of Felipe Massa. The infamous Crashgate incident had a significant impact on the final standings. Ecclestone has now acknowledged his awareness of the incident during that season. As a result, Massa took legal action against Ecclestone, Formula 1, and the FIA.

Massa, the Brazilian driver, filed a lawsuit against Formula 1, the FIA, and Ecclestone, seeking over $160 million in damages. Ecclestone finally responded to Massa’s legal actions, stating that if he had been consulted, he would have advised the former Ferrari driver to seek legal action. Ecclestone, who is 93 years old, believes that the English judge should determine the validity of the entire saga. Massa took his case to the High Court in London after receiving no response from Formula 1 and FOM to a letter sent last year about the situation. The Brazilian driver is determined to correct a historical injustice.

While Ecclestone commented on Massa’s legal actions, Formula 1 and the FIA remained silent. However, a statement from a Brazilian law firm representing Massa’s case criticized the lack of integrity and transparency in the sport. The statement also made reference to recent allegations against FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. It emphasized the need to restore the credibility of the sport in light of recent events. Consequently, Massa believes that the process regarding the 2008 championship could finally hold Formula 1 and the FIA accountable.

Undoubtedly, Felipe Massa’s process will dominate the headlines in the coming weeks. The Brazilian driver is determined to seek justice for the situation. It will be intriguing to see how the case unfolds in the future.
