Lando Norris Disappointed with Qualifying Performance at Emilia Romagna GP
British driver Lando Norris expressed his frustration after facing another challenging qualifying session at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Despite McLaren’s strong form this season, Norris struggled once again in Q3 and acknowledged that his performances in the crucial stages of qualifying are falling short of expectations. In a candid admission, Norris recognized the need to take a more aggressive approach in Sunday’s race to make up positions on a notoriously difficult track for overtaking.
“I don’t think I was fast enough. None of my performances in Q3 have been strong enough this year, so it’s the same thing. The same as every weekend. I need to try to recover positions and move forward. It’s not easy because it’s not an easy track to overtake, but that’s how it is. It’s the same story. I wasn’t good enough in qualifying, and I’ll try to make tomorrow’s race enjoyable,” Norris stated.
The young driver’s self-criticism sheds light on the challenges he is facing despite McLaren’s overall impressive performance. As he gears up for the race day, all eyes will be on Norris to see if he can turn his qualifying frustrations into a successful and thrilling race at the Emilia-Romagna GP.
