Red Bull Chief Vows: Verstappen Forbidden from Skipping F1 Races for GT Trials

Red Bull’s Verstappen Forbidden to Miss F1 Races for GT Racing Dreams

In a shocking turn of events, Red Bull’s team principal, Christian Horner, has laid down the law, stating that star driver Max Verstappen will not be allowed to skip any Formula 1 Grand Prix to pursue his passion for GT racing, even if it means missing out on prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Verstappen’s recent test drive of a Ferrari 296 GT3 at the Nordschleife track in Nürburgring ignited his desire to compete there. However, Red Bull had already put a stop to Verstappen’s plans to drive on the challenging circuit, concerned that he might push the limits too far. Despite Red Bull’s reputation for being more lenient with its drivers, Horner made it crystal clear that Verstappen will not be given any leeway to miss an F1 race, unlike Fernando Alonso in 2017, who skipped the Monaco GP to race in the Indy 500.

“Being Red Bull, we’ve always been a bit more relaxed than perhaps other teams in terms of the freedom we give our drivers,” Horner revealed in an interview with Sky. “But no, he’s not going to miss a race, that’s for sure.”

This strict stance by Red Bull has left fans and experts alike buzzing with speculation about the future of Verstappen’s GT racing aspirations and how this decision will impact his performance on the F1 circuit. Will this restriction fuel Verstappen’s determination to excel in both realms, or will it create tension within the team?

The Verstappen saga continues to unfold, keeping the F1 world on the edge of their seats as the battle for supremacy intensifies on and off the track.
