Rookie Jack Doohan Unjustly Treated by Alpine Team – Bearman Speaks Out

In a shocking turn of events, rookie driver Jack Doohan has been unceremoniously dropped by the Alpine team after just six Grand Prix races in 2025, making way for Franco Colapinto. The decision, which came after Doohan’s early exit at the Miami GP following a collision with Liam Lawson, has sparked outrage and criticism within the racing community.

Oliver Bearman, another rising star in the world of Formula 1, has come to Doohan’s defense, slamming Alpine for their treatment of the young driver. Bearman expressed his dismay, stating, “It’s a horrible situation, and I believe the treatment was very unfair.” He highlighted the challenges faced by rookies like Doohan, emphasizing the need for patience and support to allow them to learn and grow in the sport.

Bearman’s own success as a rookie driver has raised expectations for all newcomers, but he acknowledges the differences in circumstances, noting, “I debuted in a Ferrari, and it’s undeniable that the faster cars are easier to drive.” Despite his experience, Bearman admits to making more mistakes this season, reflecting on the immense pressure faced by Doohan in his short-lived stint with Alpine.

Even Franco Colapinto, who is set to replace Doohan for just five races, acknowledges the intense scrutiny and pressure on young drivers. He criticizes the trend of swiftly discarding individuals without giving them a fair chance to prove themselves, especially considering the challenges of navigating unfamiliar tracks and gaining experience in a competitive field.

As the debate rages on about Alpine’s treatment of Jack Doohan and the broader issue of supporting rookie drivers in Formula 1, the racing world waits with bated breath to see how these young talents will overcome adversity and carve out their places in one of the most demanding sports on the planet.
