Mazda fecha ano fiscal com lucros recorde

In a strategic move to accelerate its electrification strategy, Mazda, through its Chinese joint venture, Changan Mazda, has now established a partnership with CATL, the world’s leading manufacturer of batteries for electric vehicles.

The collaboration between the two companies aims to develop next-generation electric vehicles using CATL’s “Cell to Chassis” skateboard platform, set to launch at the end of 2024.

The chassis system is built around a decoupled vehicle architecture that separates the upper and lower sections of the body, allowing for modular subsystems and standardized interfaces. This structure supports flexible hardware and software configurations and is designed to streamline the development of models and enhance adaptability.

With this partnership combining CATL’s chassis technology with Changan Mazda’s automotive production systems, the two companies aim to reduce the development timelines for new electric vehicle models.
