Andretti pode fazer a troca para a NASCAR em meio a dúvidas sobre a F1?

Andretti Autosport, now known as Andretti Global, is seeking a significant expansion of its racing operations. Over the past two years, they have been involved in several new motorsport championships, with a particular focus on Formula 1 and NASCAR. However, their plans to enter F1 as the 11th team were recently rejected by the governing body. Despite this setback, Andretti is now looking to enter NASCAR through a partnership with an existing team, rather than starting from scratch.

According to recent reports from AP, Andretti has identified a potential partnership with Spire Motorsports to achieve their NASCAR ambitions. Spire has made significant investments in recent seasons, including acquiring a major Cup charter for the 2023 season. While their Truck Series team is a strong championship contender, their Cup team sits in the middle of the pack. Andretti Global’s co-owner, [Co-owner’s Name], is a major sponsor of Spire Motorsports through his company Gainbridge. This existing partnership could pave the way for Andretti to join forces with Spire, similar to their previous merger with Wayne Taylor Racing in the sports car racing championship.

Marco Andretti, grandson of Formula 1 and IndyCar champion [Champion’s Name], retired from full-time IndyCar racing three years ago. Despite coming from a legendary racing family, Marco’s performance in the series over his 15-year career was disappointing. However, he is making a comeback in the ARCA Mendes series, where he is competing part-time for Cook Racing Technologies. In the first two races of the season, Marco achieved two top-25 finishes. Additionally, he has secured a deal to race with Roper Racing in the Truck Series in 2024.

Marco Andretti also made some starts in the Xfinity and Truck series of NASCAR. His debut in the Truck series with Spire at Mid-Ohio in 2023 resulted in a respectable 19th place. Although his Xfinity debut in Charlotte did not go as planned, with a 36th place, it still provided valuable experience for him. If Marco can make the most of his opportunities in the ARCA series, he has the potential to build a successful career in NASCAR.
