Reviving the days as hosts of the most popular car TV show ever, the “British Top Gear,” Richard Hammond and James May organized a race in southern England between a Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and the Pipistrel Velis Electro, one of the first electric aircraft available on the market.
About two decades after the first race the two hosts conducted, between a car and a plane, the well-known TV presenters brought the format into the electric age, with a new video produced for the “DriveTribe” YouTube channel.

In the original race, the two were teammates, sharing the cockpit of a Cessna 182, in a challenge that started in the Italian city of Alba and ended in London. They faced off against “Top Gear” co-host Jeremy Clarkson, who was behind the wheel of a Bugatti Veyron.
This time, however, May took control of the electric plane while Hammond drove the powerful Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. During the race, both faced some issues, but watch the video to find out who won this race.
