Get ready for a seismic shift in the world of Formula 1 as Cadillac gears up to join the prestigious racing grid in 2026, with the aim of not just competing but exceeding expectations. The TWG Motorsports CEO, Dan Towriss, is spearheading this ambitious venture, acknowledging the challenges ahead but expressing a strong determination to showcase American innovation and excellence on the global stage.

After a tumultuous induction process, Cadillac secured its spot on the F1 grid for next year, following intense negotiations and demonstrating General Motors’ commitment to the project. Towriss emphasizes the emotional connection fans have with the Cadillac brand, fueling excitement for the new American team in Formula 1. He affirms, “Every effort is going in to exceed expectations and try to deliver. But make no mistake, Formula 1 is very difficult. We know that.”

The road to F1 has been riddled with obstacles for Cadillac, with the original entry facing rejection before finally receiving approval for the 2026 season. Towriss reflects on the challenges overcome, stating, “It was very difficult to get over the line… Formula 1, it shouldn’t be easy. This is the pinnacle of motorsports.” Despite the hurdles, the Cadillac team has been welcomed warmly by the FIA and other teams, setting the stage for an exhilarating debut in 2026.

A glamorous event in Miami marked the unveiling of Cadillac’s branding for the F1 team, offering a glimpse into the luxury and sophistication synonymous with the brand. Towriss hints at more exciting announcements to come, including driver reveals and livery designs, building anticipation for the team’s inaugural season. With the support of fans, influencers, and media, Cadillac is poised to make a grand entrance into the world of Formula 1, promising a thrilling journey ahead.
