Weather Armageddon Looms Over Miami F1 Grand Prix: Race Impact Forecasted at 99% Rain

Get ready for a wild ride at the Miami F1 Grand Prix as Mother Nature threatens to steal the show with an impending storm set to shake up the race proceedings.

Scheduled for 4 p.m., the 2025 Miami Grand Prix is facing a high likelihood of disruptions as storms are forecasted to peak right at race start time. What started as a calm day is quickly turning turbulent, with storm cells brewing to the south and expected to sweep inland from the Gulf of Mexico in the early afternoon. Weather experts are predicting a staggering 99% chance of rain around race time, accompanied by strong south-southeast winds to further challenge the conditions.

This weather spectacle is poised to have a significant impact on race strategy and safety, particularly in the crucial opening laps. The Sprint race earlier in the weekend offered a glimpse of what’s to come, as heavy rain delayed the start, but the track dried rapidly post downpour, allowing drivers to switch to slick tires. A similar weather pattern is anticipated today, with conditions expected to improve around 6 p.m. local time. Should the race face delays or red flags, teams may find themselves navigating a rapidly evolving track surface and limited tire grip.

Buckle up as the Miami F1 Grand Prix promises high-octane drama both on and off the track, with the elements adding an unpredictable twist to the already intense racing action.
