Ferrari F1 Driver Charles Leclerc Slams Team’s Lack of Speed

In a shocking revelation, Ferrari’s star driver Charles Leclerc has unleashed a scathing critique of his team’s lack of performance, declaring the Ferrari F1 car to be “too slow whatever we do.” Despite giving his all at the Miami Grand Prix qualifying, Leclerc could only secure the eighth spot on the grid, a disappointing result for the talented racer.

Leclerc’s frustration was palpable as he expressed his dismay at Ferrari’s inability to match the pace of front-runners like McLaren, Red Bull, and Mercedes. Even after what he believed to be a solid qualifying effort, Leclerc found himself trailing behind, highlighting the stark reality of Ferrari’s current predicament.

The Monaco-born driver lamented, “We are just not fast. Whatever we do with the car – we can run it in different ways, but we just don’t have the downforce that the others have at the moment.” This candid admission sheds light on the challenges faced by Ferrari in keeping up with the fierce competition in Formula 1.

Leclerc’s struggles were further compounded by the demanding Miami International Autodrome circuit, which exposed Ferrari’s weaknesses in slower corners. Despite his podium finish at the Jeddah street circuit, Leclerc found the Miami track to be unforgiving, with both Williams cars outperforming the Ferrari team.

Reflecting on his crash during the wet-to-dry sprint race, Leclerc acknowledged the team’s error in opting for intermediate tires in treacherous conditions. The costly mistake hindered Ferrari’s performance throughout the race weekend, leaving Leclerc and his team grappling with the repercussions of their misstep.

As Ferrari grapples with the harsh reality of their underperformance, Leclerc’s bold statements serve as a wake-up call for the iconic racing team. With the Formula 1 season heating up, Ferrari faces an uphill battle to regain their competitive edge and challenge the dominance of their rivals on the track.
