In a shocking turn of events at the Miami Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc faced further consequences after a dramatic crash during the sprint race. The Ferrari driver was reprimanded by the FIA for driving an unsafe vehicle, sparking controversy and discussions among fans and experts alike.

Leclerc’s misfortune struck before the sprint race had even commenced, as he lost control of his car on the way to the grid, resulting in a collision with the wall. Despite the significant damage sustained by his Ferrari, Leclerc defiantly continued driving, with debris falling off his car as he navigated the Miami track.

The intense situation forced Leclerc to eventually pull over and abandon the race before it had even begun, leaving his team scrambling to repair the vehicle in time for the qualifying session. The driver and a team representative were summoned to the stewards to address the potential violation of Article 26.10 of the FIA Formula Sporting Regulations, which outlines the protocol for drivers with damaged vehicles posing a risk on the track.

Following a thorough review of the incident, the FIA issued Leclerc his first reprimand of the season. The official statement highlighted the sequence of events, emphasizing the driver’s decision to continue on track despite the visible damage to his car. The stewards categorized the incident during the reconnaissance lap as they would in a practice session, justifying the reprimand as a necessary disciplinary action.

As the motorsport world buzzes with this latest development, Leclerc and his team have the option to appeal the decision within the established guidelines. The repercussions of this ruling are sure to have a lasting impact on Leclerc’s performance and reputation as the season progresses.
