Italian rising star Andrea Kimi Antonelli displayed sheer grit and determination as he bounced back from a disappointing sprint race in Miami to secure a stellar third place in the qualifying session for Sunday’s Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Antonelli, driving for Mercedes, had a tough start in the sprint race after a first-lap skirmish with Oscar Piastri’s McLaren, which relegated him to a seventh-place finish.
