Max Verstappen supostamente instou o Presidente da FIA a lançar investigação sobre vazamento de evidências de Christian Horner.

Max Verstappen did not support Christian Horner despite a supposed request from the President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).

An investigation into Horner’s alleged misconduct reportedly concluded with Red Bull clearing him of any wrongdoing. However, a massive data leak brought the whole issue back to light. As the team prepares for the 2024 season, news has emerged about Verstappen’s involvement in the matter.

Previously, Verstappen was asked by the FIA President to publicly show his support for his team principal during the investigation. Verstappen’s family was also involved in the saga, with Verstappen Sr. criticizing Horner and accusing him of causing issues within the Red Bull team.

In response to the FIA President’s request, Verstappen reportedly shared his opinions with him. According to the BBC, the reigning world champion asked Ben Sulayem to launch an investigation into the matter. Verstappen chose to keep the details of the conversation confidential and declined the FIA President’s request.

The case has been unfolding continuously over the weeks. The FIA and F1 held a meeting after the alleged information leak involving the team principal. The final results of Red Bull’s investigation seem to have closed the case. However, any new developments could potentially reopen the case in the future.

Despite Verstappen’s alleged request for an independent investigation, Ben Sulayem is unlikely to take any action at this time. The case is currently on hold, and the team will continue with the season as planned. Mohammed Ben Sulayem has ruled out an investigation against Horner for now.

Red Bull had a successful start to the season, with a one-two finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix, and Verstappen secured a dominant victory. Despite the investigation involving Horner, the team is performing at its best. However, they have chosen not to address the issue publicly.
