Lewis Hamilton Continues to Struggle: Admits Lack of Speed

In a shocking turn of events at the Miami Sprint qualifying, Lewis Hamilton expressed his disappointment with his performance, landing only the 7th fastest time. The seven-time champion’s woes seem far from over as he fails to replicate his previous success, notably his pole position in Shanghai. This time, Hamilton had to settle for 7th place in SQ3, once again being outperformed by his teammate Charles Leclerc, who secured 6th place with a significant lead.

During an interview with Sky Sports F1 post-qualifying, Hamilton reiterated the challenges faced with the SF-25, showing little optimism for the upcoming sprint race. He stated, “This was a better session, although FP1 was probably a bit better, but we are lacking a bit of speed. We need to work to try to improve. Recover in the Sprint? I don’t think so because those ahead are fast. All the cars in front will be faster, so my position will remain the same,” Hamilton concluded.

Looking ahead to potential setup improvements after the Sprint and before the actual qualifying, Hamilton appeared uncertain, mentioning, “Ideas to work on the car? I always have ideas, but I don’t know if they will be right. There are certainly things we can take from today, changes in setup to adapt to how the car behaved, and there is work we need to do to regain speed for the rest of the weekend.”

As the pressure mounts on Hamilton to deliver results, will he be able to overcome his speed struggles and clinch victory in the upcoming races? Stay tuned as the drama unfolds on the track.
