While Zilisch was swiftly cleared from the infield care center following the incident, it was later disclosed that he would be sitting out of the upcoming race at Texas due to injuries sustained during the high-speed collision. Speaking to The CW, Zilisch expressed, “I’m seeing improvements every day. Back injuries are no joke, but I’m focused on healing and getting back on the racetrack as soon as possible.” Although sidelined for the upcoming race, Zilisch remains upbeat, particularly about the performance of his replacement driver, the renowned Kyle Larson. “It’s tough to watch someone else drive my car, but I’m eager to learn from Kyle’s expertise and use his feedback to elevate our team,” Zilisch added.
When asked about the possibility of Larson taking his car to Victory Lane, Zilisch emphasized his desire for team success, stating, “Seeing Kyle win would be fantastic.
