F1 Sensation: Lando Norris Faces FIA Wrath in Miami GP Practice Drama

In a nail-biting turn of events at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, McLaren’s Lando Norris found himself at the center of a storm as he was summoned by FIA stewards due to two separate incidents during the first practice session.

The first incident unfolded early in the session when Norris, returning to the pits, was spotted removing two hand tools from his cockpit, raising concerns about a potential breach of safety regulations. However, after a thorough investigation, it was concluded that Norris had swiftly rectified the situation by securing the tools before any harm could occur, leading to a warning for McLaren without further penalties.

But the drama didn’t end there for Norris. A second incident saw him encounter Esteban Ocon’s Haas with a significant speed difference, forcing a sudden braking maneuver to avoid a collision at Turn 17. The stewards imposed a €7,500 fine on Haas for failing to adequately warn Ocon of Norris’ approach, while Ocon received a warning for his late deviation from the racing line, which increased the risk of a dangerous crash.

The high-stakes confrontations between Norris, McLaren, and their counterparts added an extra layer of tension to the Miami Grand Prix weekend, showcasing the intense competition and strict enforcement of safety protocols in Formula 1. With penalties looming and tempers flaring, the FIA stewards’ decisions have once again underscored the fine margins between success and controversy in the world of motorsport.
