Max Verstappen Crowned Greatest Red Bull Racing Driver Ever by Christian Horner

Christian Horner, the mastermind behind the Red Bull Racing team, has boldly proclaimed Max Verstappen as the greatest driver to ever race for the team. In a shocking statement, Horner placed Verstappen above past legends like Sebastian Vettel, who clinched four world championships and 38 victories with Red Bull between 2010 and 2013.

Horner’s praise for Verstappen knows no bounds, highlighting the Dutch driver’s unparalleled talent, precision, and consistency on the track. While refraining from dubbing Verstappen as the greatest F1 driver of all time, citing the challenge of comparing different eras, Horner acknowledged that Verstappen stands shoulder to shoulder with sports icons.

“We’ve been blessed with some very talented drivers and, of course, a four-time world champion, Sebastian Vettel,” Horner told the BBC. “But I think Max is above that. He is certainly the best of the current era. The way generational comparisons are made has been debated, but he has to be considered in the same league as some of the all-time greats in the sport.”

Drawing a parallel between Verstappen’s driving prowess and tennis legend Roger Federer’s finesse, Horner marveled at Verstappen’s ability to push the limits with pinpoint accuracy. The Red Bull chief commended Verstappen’s remarkable timing and precision, likening it to Federer’s mastery on the tennis court.

Despite Verstappen’s contract with Red Bull secured until 2028, speculation looms over his long-term future. With Red Bull’s dominance slightly waning in recent races, having won only 3 out of the last 9, rumors swirl that rival teams like Mercedes could tempt Verstappen, especially if Red Bull fails to maintain its competitive edge amidst the 2026 regulation changes.
