Australian racer Martin Berry is making waves in the motorsport world as he joins forces with Italian team Iron Lynx for the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship races. Berry, aged 47, will be taking the wheel of the No. 61 AMG LMGT3 car, stepping in for Christian Ried in most of the remaining races of the season.
Having already impressed in the ELMS LMGT3 program with Iron Lynx, Berry is gearing up for his FIA WEC debut at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. This opportunity marks a significant milestone in Berry’s racing career, as he looks forward to making his mark at iconic races like the Le Mans 24 Hours, Circuit of The Americas, Fuji, and Bahrain.
In a recent statement, Berry expressed his excitement, saying, “It’s a dream come true for me and another step on this journey that started just a few years ago. It’s good to be with Iron Lynx too, I feel really good in the car and the team feels like a family.”
Despite having to miss the 6 Hours of São Paulo due to a scheduling conflict, Berry remains optimistic about his future in motorsport. With a successful start in Barcelona where he clinched the class pole, all eyes are on Berry as he continues to make a name for himself in the competitive world of endurance racing.
