The Red Bull Formula 1 Team Faces Turmoil: Ralf Schumacher Points Finger at Team Principal in Astonishing Revelations

In a shocking turn of events, Ralf Schumacher, former Formula 1 driver, has unleashed a scathing criticism aimed at the Red Bull Racing Team Principal, Christian Horner. Schumacher attributes the team’s recent struggles to Horner’s management and the departure of legendary technical director Adrian Newey.

The 2025 F1 season has not been kind to Red Bull, with only one victory in the first five Grand Prix races, courtesy of Max Verstappen’s exceptional performance in Japan. The team from Milton Keynes has faced setbacks both on the track and behind the scenes, with key personnel like Rob Marshall, Will Courtenay, Jonathan Wheatley, and the departure of Adrian Newey to Aston Martin.

Ralf Schumacher did not mince his words when he highlighted the void left by Newey’s departure, emphasizing that his successor, Pierre Waché, does not measure up to the iconic designer: “According to me, Pierre Waché is by no means Adrian Newey,” Schumacher stated in an interview with Sky Deutschland. The absence of Newey’s genius has evidently created major obstacles for the team, with Schumacher expressing doubts about Waché’s capabilities to fill such big shoes.

Schumacher further criticized Horner for failing to retain Newey and for his handling of the team, suggesting that the Team Principal’s ego and leadership style have contributed to Red Bull’s current predicament. “Horner built the entire team, he was responsible along with Helmut Marko. He should have foreseen it: Adrian Newey should never have left,” Schumacher asserted. The German racing driver cast doubt on Horner’s leadership, insinuating that his need to prove himself within the team might be detrimental to Red Bull’s performance.

As the Formula 1 season progresses, all eyes will be on Red Bull Racing to see how they navigate these turbulent times and whether they can reclaim their former glory without the legendary Adrian Newey at the helm.
