Lewis Hamilton’s Struggle at Ferrari Exposed: Can He Overcome the Braking Issue?

Formula 1 fans are on the edge of their seats as a shocking revelation has come to light regarding Lewis Hamilton’s ongoing struggle at Ferrari. Renowned commentator and pundit, Alex Brundle, has identified a crucial issue related to braking that seems to be hindering Hamilton’s performance in the Ferrari SF-25.

Despite a Sprint pole and victory in China, Hamilton has been vocal about his difficulties in adapting to the Ferrari car, even going as far as describing it as “alien” to him after the Bahrain Grand Prix. The gap between Hamilton and his teammate, Charles Leclerc, widened significantly in Saudi Arabia, with Hamilton trailing by half a second in qualifying and over 30 seconds in the race.

Brundle delved into the data and pinpointed the root cause of Hamilton’s woes, stating, “He goes into high-speed corners and hits a little bit more brake pressure than Charles Leclerc. You can draw a line directly up the wheel-speed graph, to the steering trace, and the brake aligns perfectly with a tiny bit of movement. It just upsets the Ferrari everywhere.”

The concern is palpable as Brundle questions whether Hamilton can break free from his established driving technique to synchronize with the Ferrari SF-25. The pundit expressed uncertainty, asking, “Can he coach himself out of a lifetime’s worth of driving technique to move towards the car? We will find out.”

In a surprising turn of events, Carlos Sainz, the driver Hamilton replaced at Ferrari, showcased signs of improvement at Williams, leading his teammate Alex Albon in both qualifying and the race in Jeddah. Sainz admitted that it might take up to 10 races to fully acclimate to the FW47, demonstrating a willingness to adapt and evolve.

Meanwhile, Hamilton remains apprehensive about his performance, hinting that his current struggles might persist throughout the year. Brundle echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the detrimental impact of Hamilton’s braking technique on his overall performance.

As the F1 community eagerly watches Hamilton’s journey at Ferrari unfold, the stakes are higher than ever. Will Hamilton rise above the challenges posed by the braking issue, or will it continue to plague his season? Only time will tell in this high-octane battle on the racetrack.

Stay tuned for more updates as the drama unfolds in the world of Formula 1.
