Mercedes-AMG has revealed a teaser for what promises to be the first 100% electric sedan from the German brand’s sports division.
The new model, scheduled to enter production later this year, will be based on the new AMG.EA high-performance platform, likely featuring 800 volts, and will include the new axial flow motor developed by Yasa.
In addition to the new motors, the new platform is also expected to benefit from a high-performance battery developed based on the expertise of the Mercedes-AMG F1 team.
It is already known that AMG’s fully electric sedan is inspired by the Vision 2025 concept, which was presented by AMG in 2022; however, the brand has not revealed details about the new model, which is expected to include a high-end version that may offer around 1,000 hp.
The teaser released by the brand comes with the confirmation that the complete design of the new fully electric sedan will be unveiled in June, although AMG has not yet announced a specific date.
It is worth noting that the concept presented in 2022 was clearly focused on performance and featured a low and elegant silhouette, and the image now revealed on social media shows that the Affalterbach brand will remain true to the design of the Vision 2025.
