An explosive revelation in the world of Formula 1 has left fans shocked and intrigued. Speculation is rife that a mysterious €10 million sponsor might be the driving force behind Alpine’s decision to stick with rookie Jack Doohan for the first half of the 2025 F1 season, despite doubts about his abilities.

Former F1 racer Ralf Schumacher has been vocal about his belief that Doohan is “not good enough for Formula 1,” sparking controversy and debate among enthusiasts. Despite facing uncertainty about his future and the possibility of being replaced by reserve driver Franco Colapinto, Doohan’s seat at Alpine seems secured, at least for now.

While Doohan’s performance on the track has been under scrutiny, with no finishes higher than 13th in the first five races of the season, his potential seems to have impressed alongside teammate Pierre Gasly. Reports initially suggested that his contract only covered the first six races, but recent developments indicate that he is likely safe until the summer break in August.

Schumacher hinted at the pivotal role of a lucrative sponsorship deal worth €10 million in securing Doohan’s position within the team. The financial backing, coupled with support from the Alpine camp, may have shielded Doohan from being replaced by Colapinto, who showcased his skills during a recent test for the team.

Despite the ongoing debate about Doohan’s future in F1, it remains to be seen how the season will unfold for the young driver. With tensions rising and expectations high, the racing world eagerly anticipates the next chapter in this gripping saga.
