Red Bull Racing: Tsunoda Under Pressure in Red Bull ‘Test’ with Potential 2026 Replacement Looming

Yuki Tsunoda finds himself in the hot seat at Red Bull Racing, with former F1 team boss Guenther Steiner hinting that the young driver is currently undergoing a critical “test.” Steiner suggests that if Tsunoda falters, the promising Isack Hadjar could be the next in line to partner with Max Verstappen at Red Bull.

After a modest start to his Red Bull career, Tsunoda’s performance has been under scrutiny. Despite scoring points in his early races, Steiner’s comments indicate that the team is closely evaluating Tsunoda’s future with the racing powerhouse.

Meanwhile, Red Bull Racing made headlines by swiftly replacing Liam Lawson with Tsunoda mid-season, showcasing their commitment to securing the best lineup possible. This move signaled a significant opportunity for Tsunoda, who has been aiming to drive for Red Bull since his debut in the sport.

However, with Steiner praising the talents of Isack Hadjar, a rising star in the VCARB ranks, Tsunoda faces intensified competition within the team. Hadjar’s impressive track record and consistent performance have positioned him as a strong contender for a coveted spot alongside Verstappen.

While Tsunoda has been assured a full season by Helmut Marko, the pressure remains high for the young driver to prove his capabilities. Steiner’s insinuation that Tsunoda’s future at Red Bull is contingent on his performance sets the stage for a gripping battle within the team.

As speculation grows about the potential lineup for the 2026 season, all eyes are on Tsunoda and Hadjar as they strive to secure their places in the fiercely competitive world of Formula 1. With the stakes higher than ever, the upcoming races will undoubtedly be pivotal in determining the fate of these talented drivers.
