Opel has announced that the Corsa has just reached the milestone of over one million units produced since the launch of the current generation F in 2019.
Produced at the Zaragoza factory in Spain, the great success of the Corsa is also reflected in other numbers, as according to the registration statistics from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), the current Corsa has been the best-selling small car in Germany for the past four years.

Additionally, it was also the best-selling car in its segment in the United Kingdom for three consecutive years (2021 to 2023). So far this year, in the first three months of 2025, the Corsa has reached the top three in its segment in countries such as Croatia, the Netherlands, Norway, and Slovenia.
It is worth noting that the current generation of the Opel Corsa offers a wide range of powertrains, ranging from two 100% electric variants to hybrid versions with 48 Volt technology and combustion engines.
“One million Corsa of the current generation shows that customers really love our small car. With its modern design, accessible top technologies, and high flexibility in compact dimensions, the Corsa attracts a wide variety of customer groups. This unique combination makes it a fundamental guarantee of success in our portfolio”, stated Florian Huettl, CEO of Opel & Vauxhall and General Director of Stellantis Germany.
Since its launch in 1982, the Opel Corsa has become one of the most iconic and successful compact cars in automotive history. The first generation, known as Corsa A, marked Opel’s debut in the small “hatchback” segment, and since then the German brand has sold around 15 million units of the Corsa.
