Leapmotor, the Chinese partner of Stellantis, is preparing to launch an electric sedan, the B01, which will hit the market soon and is built on the platform of the Leapmotor B10 crossover.
The first images of the new B01 were revealed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT), which shows that the Leapmotor sedan measures 4.77 meters in length, 1.88 meters in width, a height of 1.49 meters, and a wheelbase of 2.73 meters.

The exterior design aligns with the rest of the Leapmotor range, featuring a front section characterized by a closed grille, as well as a continuous light strip and split headlights. Additionally, the new model boasts a dynamic profile with black window frames and external mirrors that enhance its sporty appearance.
At the rear, the highlight is the LED technology light signature, with a light bar connecting the two taillights equipped with segmented lighting elements that create a visual effect. The new Leapmotor B01 also offers a range of options, notably including a panoramic glass roof.
The B01, which will initially be launched in China, will be available with two powertrain options, both featuring CALB lithium iron phosphate batteries. The entry-level model comes with a 177 hp electric motor, while the top-tier version features a 214 hp motor.
The new Leapmotor B01 will be unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show, which takes place from April 23 to May 2.
