Já pode encomendar o novo Puma Gen-E: conheça os preços

Ford has announced that it has already opened orders for the Puma Gen-E, a model that promises to bring renewed energy to the joy of driving while maintaining the main lines of the original model.

Equipped with a new electric motor producing 168 hp and 290 Nm of maximum torque, powered by a 43 kWh battery, the Puma Gen-E claims a consumption of 13.1 kWh/100 km for a combined range of up to 376 km, which can reach 523 km in the city. It guarantees acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.0 seconds and a more immediate response from the steering, in a manner similar to a Puma ST, with a top speed of 160 km/h. In terms of charging, when connected to a fast charger, it achieves 10% to 80% charge in about 23 minutes.

Inside, the Puma Gen-E offers even greater space efficiency, resulting from a compact electric drive unit. The innovative MegaBox storage space of the Puma has been expanded to become a GigaBox, accommodating up to 574 liters of luggage space with the rear seats in their normal position, along with a 43-liter frunk (front trunk) that makes good use of the empty space left by the absence of the gasoline engine, proving ideal for storing accessories that are meant to be more accessible when the rear trunk is full.

Additionally, there are two high-definition screens easily accessible to the driver, ensuring they always feel in full control. Ford’s state-of-the-art SYNC 4 infotainment system features cloud-connected navigation, giving the Puma Gen-E clear advantages in urban traffic, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing for seamless synchronization of apps and information between smartphones and the vehicle, without the need for connecting cables.

On the other hand, the exterior design captures the spirit of the latest generation of the Puma, integrating changes that make it more distinctive and aerodynamic. A bold shield-shaped design replaces the conventional grille, giving it a new front section and drawing inspiration from the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV.

The rear spoiler and exclusive design alloy wheels contribute to a sportier image of this 100% electric model.

Ford has announced that orders for the national market are now open, with the base version starting at €35,843, while the Gen-E Premium variant has a starting price of €38,180.

However, an ongoing launch campaign allows the price to be reduced to €32,768 for the entry-level version, while the top-of-the-line Gen-E Premium costs €35,105.
