Furious Red Bull Boss Challenges Verstappen Penalty Decision with Onboard Evidence

Red Bull Racing’s Team Principal, Christian Horner, is shaking the Formula 1 world with onboard evidence disputing Max Verstappen’s penalty at the recent Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The reigning world champion was stripped of his victory after receiving a controversial five-second penalty for an incident involving McLaren’s Oscar Piastri.

Despite the setback, Horner stated that Red Bull is reluctant to challenge the penalty decision formally but may present new evidence to the stewards. The team opted not to hand the lead back to Piastri after Verstappen went off track following a maneuver, believing their driver was not at fault. Horner showcased screenshots from Verstappen’s onboard camera, emphasizing that the Dutch driver was ahead at the crucial Turn 1 apex.

Expressing his frustration, Horner criticized the stewards’ decision, labeling it as “harsh” and highlighting the potential impact on the race outcome. He questioned the stewards’ rationale behind the leniency of the penalty duration and suggested a review of the rules governing such incidents in the future.

The Red Bull boss’s bold stance has ignited a debate within the F1 community, with fans and experts divided over the controversial incident. As the dust settles on the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix drama, all eyes are on the stewards’ response to Red Bull’s latest evidence and the implications it may have for future racing incidents.

The thrilling world of Formula 1 continues to deliver high-octane drama both on and off the track, with this latest controversy adding a new chapter to the intense rivalry between the top teams. Stay tuned for more updates as the F1 season unfolds, promising more excitement and controversy in the races to come.
