In a shocking turn of events, the FIA has delivered its final verdict on McLaren’s F1 sensation, Lando Norris, following a contentious investigation during the 2025 season. The young driver found himself under scrutiny by race stewards at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after allegedly breaching regulations by crossing the white line on the pit exit during lap 41 in Jeddah.

Debate raged on whether Norris had indeed flouted the rules, with Sky Sports’ Martin Brundle questioning the interpretation of the incident, stating, “I thought as long as you’ve got a tyre on the line you’re ok, you don’t need to cross the line.” F1 analyst Bernie Collins also weighed in, highlighting the importance of adhering to pit entry and exit procedures.

Despite the intense scrutiny and differing opinions, the FIA ultimately decided not to penalize Norris, allowing him to continue his pursuit of a podium finish at the Saudi GP. However, luck was not on his side as he narrowly missed out on a top-three finish, settling for P4 behind his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who clinched the victory and advanced in the championship standings.

The swift and somewhat unexpected conclusion of the investigation left many questioning the consistency and transparency of FIA decisions in the world of Formula 1. As the championship battle heats up and tensions run high, every call made by the governing body is under the microscope, with fans and experts alike dissecting every ruling and its implications on the drivers’ title hopes.

In the high-stakes world of F1, every decision matters, and as the season progresses towards its climax, the spotlight will continue to shine brightly on the FIA and its handling of contentious incidents like the one involving Lando Norris in Saudi Arabia.
