Ferrari Frustration: Charles Leclerc Slams Team’s Upgrades for Failing to Boost Performance

Ferrari’s star driver, Charles Leclerc, expressed his discontent after the latest upgrades on his SF-25 failed to deliver the desired improvement in pace during the qualifying round of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Despite securing a respectable fourth place, Leclerc was far from satisfied with the performance of his car, stating, “I’m not happy, I’m really not happy.”

Leclerc elaborated on the challenges he faced with his vehicle, highlighting issues with understeer and oversteer that compromised his grip on the track compared to his competitors. Despite pushing the car to its limits and finding a setup that suited his driving style, Leclerc emphasized that the overall performance still fell short of his expectations.

The Monegasque driver also expressed disappointment regarding the effectiveness of the upgrades introduced by Ferrari for the race in Jeddah. Leclerc noted that while the enhancements were expected to narrow the gap to the front of the pack, the results were underwhelming. “I’m a bit disappointed because we had a few upgrades that should have helped but the gap [to the frontrunners] seems to be pretty similar to before,” he remarked.

Leclerc’s candid assessment sheds light on Ferrari’s ongoing struggles to keep up with the competition in Formula 1, raising questions about the team’s ability to make significant performance gains. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Ferrari to see if they can address the issues highlighted by their lead driver and emerge as true contenders on the track.
