In a thrilling turn of events, Liam Lawson has made a bold statement following his successful qualifying round in Jeddah. Despite his initial dissatisfaction with his performance during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend, Lawson managed to secure the 12th spot on the grid for the upcoming race, marking his best result of the 2025 Formula 1 season so far.

With a razor-thin margin separating him from Q3, Lawson expressed his regret at just missing out on the top positions, highlighting the fierce competition in the midfield where every tiny advantage counts. The Racing Bulls driver is poised to bring that same energy and determination to the race tomorrow, especially with his teammate Isack Hadjar starting right behind him in 14th place.

Reflecting on his driving experience in the VCARB 02, Lawson acknowledged the challenges he faced after his early-season demotion from Red Bull. Despite the setbacks, he emphasized his growing comfort and confidence in handling the high-speed demands of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, known for its treacherous corners and minimal run-off areas.

“This is the type of track where putting it up against the wall can make all the difference,” Lawson remarked. “And honestly, I think commitment-wise, it’s the best stuff I’ve done all weekend by far.”

However, Lawson also recognized the need for improvement, particularly in the first sector where his Racing Bulls package showed weakness. As he prepares for the race day, Lawson remains focused on addressing these challenges and striving for better performance in the upcoming sessions.

Looking ahead with cautious optimism, Lawson admitted the uncertainty surrounding the team’s pace advantage for the race. While acknowledging the potential for overtaking opportunities on the challenging Jeddah circuit, he remained circumspect about their overall competitiveness in the upcoming event.

As the tension mounts and expectations soar, all eyes are on Liam Lawson and the Racing Bulls team as they gear up for what promises to be a thrilling and unpredictable race in Jeddah. Stay tuned for more updates on this gripping Formula 1 showdown.
