Juan Pablo Montoya, the former Colombian Formula 1 driver, predicts that Max Verstappen’s time at Red Bull is coming to an end. According to Montoya, the current situation marks the decline of the relationship between Verstappen and his team, raising concerns about the Dutch driver’s future. With tensions escalating and Verstappen trailing 80 points behind McLaren in the Constructors’ Championship, the pressure is on.

Verstappen’s recent performance in Bahrain, where he slipped to third place in the Drivers’ standings, has left Red Bull in a precarious position. The team, which has only secured victories through Verstappen’s exceptional driving skills, is facing a challenging season. Speculations about Verstappen’s potential departure from Red Bull have been circulating, with rumors of a possible move to another team in 2026.

Montoya’s insights shed light on the dilemma Verstappen might face in the near future. Will he prioritize winning races or seek a lucrative contract? Montoya questions Verstappen’s motivations, stating, “If I were Max, I would be worried.” The Colombian emphasizes the importance of Verstappen’s decision-making, whether to pursue success on the track or chase financial gains.

As the Formula 1 landscape evolves with new technical regulations on the horizon, Verstappen’s next move remains uncertain. Montoya hints at a possible switch for Verstappen to a more competitive team or a financially rewarding opportunity. Whether Verstappen chooses the path of a champion or a payday, the decision lies in his hands.

The clock is ticking for Max Verstappen at Red Bull, and the racing world eagerly awaits his next move. Will he stay and fight for victories, or will he seek greener pastures elsewhere? Only time will tell the fate of one of Formula 1’s most promising talents.
